Dear Grandmother

This video is in dedication to my Grandmother, a woman who taught me of my culture and heritage, who was always my biggest supporter, friend and teacher. A mix of personal photographs and scenic views, this video aims to capture the impact my mother had on my family's ability to move to America and start a better life then the one they had in Russia. In an effort to impress a feeling of traditional Russian culture, the added background music is a violin piece by a Russian artist Kosta roughly translated to "Dying of the Distance".  I hope that audience members with families in other cultures feel they can relate to the struggles of immigration, and on a more personal level, remember passing loved ones as they were in their prime, as an honor to their memory,
